The Manukau Youth Orchestra provides affordable music tuition to young people in Manurewa.
Our programmes are based in primary and intermediate schools. This gets students ready for high school where music lessons are available.
We have taught in schools since 2005 and in 2014 we made it a full time operation concentrating in Manurewa. We have string programmes at Manurewa Central School & Hillpark Primary School teaching violin, viola, cello and double bass - and a band programme at Manurewa Intermediate School teaching flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn & trombone.
